Baptism

Baptism is birth into the new life in Christ. In accordance with the Lord's will, it is necessary for salvation, as is the Church herself, which we enter by baptism. (Catechism of the Catholic Church)

We share your joy and look forward to the day when your child will be welcomed into the Catholic Christian Community of faith. We are excited to walk with you as you prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism in this parish community.

Baptism Preparation

If you are a new parent it is required that you complete a baptism preparation class prior to having your child baptized. This is accomplished by meeting one on one with one of our trained baptism preparation couples. Prior to meeting with the baptism prep couple, you need to complete a parent handbook. The baptism preparation course takes approximately one hour to complete. Preparation can take place anytime during the pregnancy or just prior to having your child baptized. You should be a registered member of the parish in order to complete the baptism preparation class.

Scheduling of Baptisms

Currently we offer baptisms to take place during any of the weekend Masses (Saturday 5:15 pm, Sunday 7:30, 9:00 or 10:45 am). You may also choose to have your child baptized in a private setting outside of Mass. If you choose to have a private baptism they can be scheduled to take place after the 5:15 Mass on Saturday or after the 10:45 Mass on Sunday. We do not carry out baptisms during the season of Lent unless it is an emergency.
