Program Description
Kingdom Kids uses “Allelu!” by Our Sunday Visitor for Kindergarten and “Finding God: Our Response to God’s Gifts” for 1st-5th grade. Both curricula integrate fundamental themes of the Catechism of the Catholic Church with Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching. As children are introduced to, and revisit concepts and vocabulary from one year to the next, their knowledge and experience both broaden and deepen as they grow in faith as committed disciples of Jesus. Our time together includes hands on learning through activities such as art projects, music, church tours, and more. Students in second grade who enroll in Kingdom Kids will prepare for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

We are in need of Catechists/Small Group Leaders, Assistant Catechists/Small Group Leaders, Substitutes, Child Care Supervisors, Room/Supplies Preparation, and more. Visit our Volunteer Information Web Page or contact our staff for more information about volunteering.
A note about First Reconciliation and First Communion Preparation
Students in second grade who enroll in Kingdom Kids will prepare for First Reconciliation and First Communion. In addition to weekly sessions, there will be 2 mandatory retreats each child will attend with a parent. A special Reconciliation Service will be in January 2025 and First Communion Masses will be May 3 & 4, 2025 with a prior mandatory rehearsal May 2, 2025.
For more information about these Sacraments visit our Sacramental Preparation Web Page.
Beyond the Classroom
Resources and games for families which can enhance what children are learning here at Church in Kingdom Kids can be found on Loyola Press' Web Page. We highly encourage families to use resources like this at home in order to further develop your child's/children's relationship(s) with Jesus Christ and his Church.
