I am truly sorry for every sin, mortal and venial,
for all the sins of my childhood up to the present hour.
I know my sins have wounded Thy Tender Heart,
O My Savior, let me be freed from the bonds of evil
through the most bitter Passion of My Redeemer.
O My Jesus, forget and forgive what I have been.
Amen.
“Come now, let us talk this over, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” - Isaiah 1:18
God’s forgiving, healing love helps us to grow and become sharers in the ministry of reconciliation. Reconciliation is a reminder to al of us that God loves us no matter what.
As Christian parents, we lay the foundation of this ministry by giving unconditional love, forgiveness and reconciliation to our children. And as our children experience this in our care, they begin to glimpse the true nature of the love of God and the promise of lasting peace and happiness, which is God’s promise to us.
Preparation for First Reconciliation at Pax Christi is accomplished through a combination of home and parish preparation sessions. First Reconciliation is received prior to First Eucharist. Children celebrate the sacrament when the parents, child, and sacramental coordinator feel the child is ready. This usually occurs in the second grade.
In order to receive this sacrament, each student needs to be registered with the Faith Formation office or attending one of our Catholic Schools.
If you have a child older than 2nd grade who desires to celebrate the sacraments,
